Fitbit challenged Havas CX to concept, design, and deliver their two largest campaigns for 2021, the Black Friday and Holiday Sales. While Havas CX isn’t historically contracted for these sales, for 2021 we were requested to concept combined assets that would be shared between both campaigns, while maintaining a distinguishing look and feel for the pair.

I was fortunate enough to submit my concept for the campaign series to Fitbit, which was chosen with little to no changes. Over 140 unique assets were created for the campaign, with over 95 custom-made 3D renders in campaign colors to accommodate 13 global locale’s device needs for each sale.

The campaign was so successful that fitbit used it as their visual inspiration for their entire 2023 Seasonal Playbook, which informs the design language of over 12 annual ad campaigns.

Each of the renders was then optimized for dark mode by creating a transparent png version of the render. By masking out and repainting device-unique shadows and highlights, each unique email client’s dark mode color update would be allowed to shine through without clipping.

In total, I worked on three concepts for the project, crafting initial design language and presenting the work to Fitbit.

The Smithsonian began a contract with idfive in 2022 to concept, design, and develop a new website for the National Museum of Asian Art (NMAA). Working closely with our Creative Director and our Senior Art Director, we developed a unique design language to fit the unique museum. From the brief: “The website design functions the museum’s “third gallery”—a space where the full breadth of the museum’s offerings is easily accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world.”

I was on the initial concept design team, working in a silo on a variety of concepts, color schemes, and typographic choices, using our UX team’s wireframes as a framework, and added creative production support for animated elements, fine-tuning graphic assets, and QC’ing development files.

Since launch, site visits have increased 23%.

Lacoste launched a new loyalty rewards program, Le Club, for their US customers, and hired Havas to craft an 18-email series for the program. We also delivered dynamic dashboard and hero animations to be user-specific, dependent on their club member level and points accrued.

in 2023, three Pennsylvania state universities banded together into a single, encompassing university to bring a cohesive brand to the PA higher education field, while reducing overhead costs. idfive was contracted to create a new website to integrate the new brand identity that had been developed by a third party. I worked closely with our Senior Art Director and Creative Director to develop multiple concepts and website layouts, oversee and handoff design production with a junior Designer, and served as the illustrator to draft and produce custom iconography and additional infographic illustrations to match the brand standards.

I was hired as a freelancer through idfive to help Aims Community College out of Greeley, CO to revamp their mascot logo after a costume update in 2020. This project included initial concepting and 5 full-body poses.

Each year, Fitbit releases each user’s Year in Review, including both personal and global stats for the Fitbit community. Our team designed and developed an email template in XD to accommodate a year-long user data overview. In-email animations were designed to showcase the maximum amount of dynamic data in each platform, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook, and the Fitbit blog.

In addition to Lacoste’s loyalty program, Le Club Launch series, we offered custom illustrations for their Happy Birthday email within the Le Club ‘Welcome Series’

For 2021, Fitbit’s design team rolled out new brand creative guidelines, which focused heavily on simple Bauhaus shapes. These Summer Sale concepts were not selected for the live campaign, but made it to the final round of client consideration.

Babybel needed a website revamp in late 2020, which included new digital splash assets and custom SVG animations of their extensive library of existing illustrations. Additional custom illustrations and brand elements were designed to match the existing brand aesthetic.

I was contracted to create illustrations for Walden University, who had partnered with Google to create a dynamic new AI tutor tool (similar to MS Clippy), named Julian, that delivers personalized learning experiences, enabling students to master their learning through practice-including quizzes and free form responses.

This project has hit a wall, but I still like it.
